Approach to Care
As a trainee under Dr. Tejal Jakatdar, I bring a fresh, dedicated approach to helping you or your child overcome OCD and anxiety. My blend of evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) with a warm, culturally sensitive style ensures therapy feels personal and effective. I focus on understanding your unique story to deliver tailored care that helps you achieve real results. I enjoy helping clients regain their agency from OCD, anxiety, depression, and body-related disorders.
Methods of Treatment
My therapeutic toolkit is anchored in evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s needs, with a particular passion for treating OCD and related conditions. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with an emphasis on Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD. I also draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based strategies to help clients build resilience and flexibility. Whether addressing trichotillomania, perfectionism, or mood disorders, I prioritize personalized, structured interventions that empower clients to reclaim control over their lives.
Cultural Sensitivity
Bringing your identity into the room should not be an add-on, but an integrated part of therapy. I work with diverse clients, including those from marginalized communities, to ensure therapy feels inclusive and relevant. By listening deeply and adapting care to your unique cultural and personal context, I help you or your child navigate OCD with respect and understanding, fostering trust and change.
Education and Experience
Under the supervision of Dr. Tejal Jakatdar, I am pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Palo Alto University, building on my Master of Science in Psychology (Mental Health and Technology emphasis) earned in June 2024 from the same institution. At Willow Anxiety and OCD, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals with OCD, BDD, mood and personality disorders, and anxiety disorders. My experience spans community mental health settings, where I’ve worked with diverse populations facing complex challenges, fueling my dedication to providing compassionate, specialized care.
Outside the therapy room, I find balance through swimming, Pilates, and hiking with my rescue dog, Dolly. I love to travel, try new cuisines, and cherish moments spent connecting with family and friends.
