Approach to Care
Under the supervision of Dr. Tejal Jakatdar, I strive to bring warmth, patience, and collaboration into my work with clients. I am an integrative clinician and value creating a supportive therapy space where clients feel understood, respected, and actively involved in their care. My clinical interests include evidence-based treatment for social anxiety, generalized anxiety, OCD, and depression. I aim to provide culturally sensitive and reflective care that helps clients build confidence, reduce avoidance, and regain a greater sense of agency in their lives.
Methods of Treatment
My approach is integrative, collaborative, and culturally sensitive. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, relational frameworks, and evidence-based approaches such as Exposure and Response Prevention. I work with clients to better understand their patterns and move toward choices that feel more flexible and aligned with their values.
Cultural Sensitivity
My Cantonese cultural background informs the way I understand identity, family, communication, and belonging. I recognize that culture can shape how people experience distress, seek support, and make meaning of their challenges. In therapy, I aim to hold these with humility and curiosity.
Education and Experience
I am pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Palo Alto University under the supervision of Dr. Tejal Jakatdar. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Family Studies from the University of British Columbia. My clinical experience includes community mental health settings, where I have supported diverse clients navigating anxiety, depression, identity concerns, relational stress, and other complex challenges.
Outside of work, I enjoy doing Lagree, reading, spending time with family and friends, and being with my rescue cat.
