Rutuja Chinchankar is a post-doctoral fellow. She has completed her doctoral program at Western Kentucky University. She has been practicing in the areas of adult psychotherapy and clinical psychology for ten years. Rutuja has worked in a variety of clinical settings in India and the US. She has become passionate about working with anxiety and mood disorders. She has a growing interest in treating OCD and BDD. Rutuja enjoys working with teens and adults.
Rutuja believes that therapy is a powerful tool to help alleviate an array of mental and emotional concerns. She has trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Rutuja helps clients normalize the human experience and helps them lead a more valuable and meaningful life. Rutuja's Indian origins allow her to bring a unique multicultural perspective to her style of therapy. She believes therapy transcends all cultural boundaries. Rutuja is very passionate about clinical psychology and is enthusiastic about learning and building skills to help clients. She is supervised and trained by Drs. Jakatdar and Golden on CBT and ERP. In addition to clinical expertise, Rutuja has published her research and is working on her doctoral dissertation focused on body image issues in men.
Rutuja has a fun-loving and approachable personality. Her hobbies include singing, dancing, exercising, and painting. She loves spending time with her family and friends.
